Halloween night 1978 saw the premiere of the NBC made for TV movie Stranger In Our House.
This was a horror/thriller about a family taking in their niece who parents were killed in a car accident. Soon after her arrival strange event's start to befall the Family. It does not take long for Rachael (played by Linda Blair) to figure out that Julia is a witch.
Stranger In Our House currently streaming on Amazon under the title Summer Of Fear has an 70's after school special vibe with the fassions to match. The movie is worth seeing mostly due to the fact it was directed by Wes Craven of Scream and Nightmare On Elm Street. Fran Drechsser also make her first film appearance in a small role. Also worth mentioning the movie is base on the book Summer Of Fear by Lois Duncan, which was in a Weekly Reader ad somewhere .
