O.K. I was kinda on the edge about this, Transformers, The Last Knight pretty much left me with a "I Give Up" attitude on the franchise. To be totally honest I could not figure out what was happening since the first film. the writers went way P.O.T.A. (planet Of The Apes, 1970's) with the sequels IE stretching to make stories connect from the last film then shortly after abandon the connection.
When I asked some people about the movie they complain that the hero Bumblebee was a VW bug and not the Camaro from the previous films. I tried to explain that he was a bug when he started out, they did not understand. Well what can you do, but tell them it will be alright.
The makers of this film took a big step backward in the timeline starting it in 1987. Well the step worked besides getting everything right for the era and props. The story moves at a fast pace, the characters are the original design and have a retro feel.
Bumblebee is the story of a young girl named Charlie who finds a wreaked VW in a junkyard. As all things Transformers Charlie finds there is more then meets the eye when she bring the car home.
That's where her adventure with Bumblebee starts. don't want to give anything away.
If your looking for a simple fun 1980's film this is it. Did i mention the soundtrack is great also.
GO SEE IT!
